We are looking forward to working with KB4girls again this year; we are also very excited as Sensi Bikinis have offered great prizes too. At every event we will hold a raffle or a competition to win a Sensi Bikini – the perfect bikinis made for girls who surf

We will run four events this year, each on the first Sunday of every month; starting in June.

Sunday 2^nd June

Kicking off with a refresher afternoon for all of us who have been out of the water for the winter, a great afternoon of kiting with the instructors at Explora on hand for any hints and tips you need or general motivation. Session starts at 2pm at the Explora centre in Essaouira.

Sunday 7^th July

Kite Taster Session, for all of you who would like to give it a go but are not sure, this is a great way to see if kiting is for you. We will run an introductory session so you can give it a try. This session will start at 2pm at the Explora centre on the beach in Essaouira.

Sunday 4^th August

Our second Kite Taster Session, for all of you who would like to give it a go but are not sure, this is a great way to see if kiting is for you. We will run an introductory session so you can give it a try. This session will start at 2pm at the Explora centre on the beach in Essaouira

Sunday 1^st September

A Kite Trip, it is always great to try a new spot with a group of friends and a few experienced guides. We will be organising a day trip to Sidi Kaouki. We will leave the centre at 9am to make the most of the day, kiting in the morning with a big BBQ or picnic lunch followed by an afternoon session before heading back to the centre in Essaouira.

Don’t forget at each event we will be giving away a super sexy Sensi Bikini.

Kite camps are a great way to dedicate real time to progressing in kitesurfing, as well as meeting lots of great people and having plenty of laughs along the way.

We are working with some great partners and people to ensure we can offer the right mix of kite clinics to suit everybody. What’s more, we’re also introducing a kite clinic in Dakhla this year, as well as at Dakhla Attitude camp.

In addition to the ‘girls only’ clinics run by Kite-Sisters and KSP World Tour rider Chelu Guardati, the lovely Jan Marcos 2009 kite wave riding champion will also be sharing his skills and expertise at our wave camps.

All our exclusive clinics include 1-1 sessions and continuous coaching throughout the week, photos, videos, food, accommodation and transfers to and from the airport – as well as lots of fun, and great memories to be made

What’s more, as well as improving your kiting, at an Explora kite camp you’ll also meet some fantastic, friendly people and have plenty of laughs along the way.

Five days Progression Kite Camp (week days)

Progression Camp

We are running two exclusive kite retreats this year, the first of which is a Progression Camp. This means that it is focused around what you hope to achieve during the week.

At the very beginning of the camp we will set your goals for the week, and then it is the instructor’s mission to ensure that you achieve them through an intensive training programme of one-to-one sessions, mentoring and continuous coaching.

Each day will begin with yoga or fitness training for those of you that would like to join, followed by a full day of kiting. There are also surf sessions and SUPs available at the end of the day, if you still have the energy!

Speaking of energy, we’ll keep you going with a picnic or grilled fish BBQ for lunch, and for the evening meal we will visit a different restaurant in the Old Town each night, close to the lovely riad where we will all stay. One night we will even treat you to a traditional Moroccan evening on the sand dunes, with music and an open camp fire under the stars.

Progression Camp – The Details

If you can already kite on your own, but want to fast-track and improve on your skills, the Progression Camp is the one for you. It includes:

• • Seven nights in a lovely raid in the centre of the Old Town
• • Daily yoga and personal fitness sessions (if desired)
• • One-to-one kite coaching sessions, all day every day
• • Lunch and dinner during the camp
• • Surf and SUP material

Availability Dates: 29/30th September – 6/7th October 2012

Wave Riding Camp

The second Explora kite camp is the Wave Riding Camp, which runs from the end of October when the swell starts to hit the Moroccan coast.

This camp is designed for experienced kiters, who want to learn how to ride the waves or progress to strapless kiting.

The Wave Riding Camp will start off in Essaouira, where you will get your first taste of wave riding or strapless riding. We will then travel to various kiting spots (depending on the conditions) in Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki and Moulay, so you’re guaranteed a huge amount of experience – as well as loads of fun!

Throughout this camp we will run a mixture of one-to-one sessions, mentoring and continuous coaching, to ensure that you get the most out of your time with Explora.

Wave Riding Camp – The Details

• • Five days Wave Riding Camp (week days)

So, what does this mean? For me personally it provides a great way to promote the sport for girls in Morocco and Essaouira, and to raise a bit of money for charity along the way.

For you it means some great, free, female-targeted events will be happening throughout the year, at our centre on the beach.

Throughout the summer, Chelu and I will be running the Sister Session events, which will pull together a great mix of kitesurfing taster sessions and more advanced events.

The first two Sister Sessions have already taken place, during which we offered free kitesurfing taster lessons to introduce girls to the wonderful world of this sport. These were a great way to kick off the summer and quite a few people come along, but we want to make them progressively bigger and better!
